PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOPERATIF TIPE TWO STAY TWO STRAY (TSTS) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS DAN MOTIVASI SISWA KELAS VII.9 SMP NEGERI 8 PALOPO

Abstract


This study aims to determine the ability of communication and student motivation and improvement during applying the learning model two stay two stray. Instruments used are learning tools, Questionnaire communication and questionnaire motivation to learn, test results learn, and observation sheet. Type of research is classroom action resert conducted in SMP Neg 8 Palopo. The subjects of the study were all students of class VII.9 which amounted to 32 students. Based on the observations conducted in 3 cycles, the results of the study were obtained: (1) The result of quantitative analysis for the initial test, the average of students' ability before the application of Two Stay Two Stray learning model is 54,492, with the percentage of 2,26% or low category. The result of quantitative analysis for the final test of cycle 1, the average ability of students after the implementation of Two Stay Two Stray learning model is 56,640 with the percentage of mastery 15,625% (2) The result of quantitative analysis for the students' mathematical communication ability test in cycle 2 average student ability 64,843 with the percentage of mastery 28,125%, (3) The result of quantitative analysis for the students' mathematical communication ability test in cycle 3 mean the students ability 73,632 with the percentage of mastery 81,25% it shows that the ability of student has increased and it is in high category. The result of questionnaire motivation to learn 62,5% and result of questionnaire of mathematical communication 68,75%.
