ANALISIS PEMAHAMAN KONSEP GEOMETRI MAHASISWA DITINJAU DARI GAYA KOGNITIF FIELD DEPENDENT DAN FIELD INDEPENDENT

Abstract


The aim of this research to describe (1) student’ geometry conceptual understanding who had cognitive style field dependent, and (2) student’ geometry conceptual understanding who had cognitive style field independent. The method used in this research was a descriptive method using qualitative approach and data in this research obtained from test and interview. The result showed that geometry conceptual understanding ability of subject who had cognitive style field dependent only satisfy 4 indicators they were (a) stated verbally concept learned, (b) classified concept based of satisfy or not satisfy the requirements, (c) applied concept as algoritma (d) applied concept in various representation form. Indicators that had not SFD conducted was connecting various concept (mathematics internal and external). Geometry conceptual understanding of student who had cognitive style field independent could satisfied 5 indicators of conceptual understanding those were (a) stated verbally conceptual that learned, (b) classified concept based of satisfy or not satisfy, (c) applied concept as algoritma, (d) applied concept in various representation form, and (e) conducting various concept (mathematics internal and external)
