THE STUDENTS INTEREST TOWARD HANDBOOK OF LESSON STUDY TO THE SERVICE TRAINING STUDENTS IN TEACHING

This research is aimed to know the students interest of using handbook of lesson study in teaching. Whether, this research also want to know the advantages and the disadvantages of using the handbook and the students perception toward handbook of lesson study applied by the service training students. The researcher will apply descriptive research. It aimed at finding out the description of the students’ interest towards the use of handbook of lesson study in teaching. The instruments will be used in this research are questionnaire and think aloud. The population of this research will be the fifth semester of English department students of Cokroaminoto Palopo University, which consists of 200 students.
Purposive sampling technique will be used to take the sample. The result from this research shows that From 10 items in the questionnaire, consists of 5 positive statements and 5 negative statements, describes that most of the students gave positive response toward the use of handbook of lesson study in teaching to the service training students. Where from think aloud data, found that the handbook still needs to be revised, especially the contents and writing
